Chart showing the development of US-money stock (M1) since 1990 in billions of dollars. Money (M1) is issued by the Federal Reserve. One can easily spot a rapid rise of money supply initiating from the financial crisis of 2008/2009, steadily growing, just to be dwarfed by that pretty spike in the year 2020. Not infinitely sustainable. As of February, 2021, the relation of money stock M1 and other stimulating FED-interferences to inflation remains tbd.
